Abstract

This paper reviews methods available for the removal of metals from industrial wastewater that are
beneficial for small scale industries, Effects of metals on human health and Conventional methods for removal of heavy
metals. The literature review shows that various low cost natural materials are used as adsorbents for removal of metals
from aqueous solutions and industrial wastewater and applications of adsorption process
